NJPW’s Zack Sabre Jr. Teases Match With AEW's Bryan Danielson
“I wonder where the American Dragon is. I wonder where that d***head is.”
Earlier this week, Bryan Danielson jokingly teased that he wanted to face Zack Sabre Jr. and regain his ‘Bryan Danielson (Best Technical Wrestler)’ Wrestling Observer Award, but it looks like he may get what he wished for, as ZSJ has replied.
After defeating IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Shingo Takagi in the G1, Zack took the mic and said the following:
“Dragon b******s, you really are the toughest b******, but who won today? Who won today? Me. And guess what, the IWGP Tag Champion just pinned the bloody IWGP World Champion. You want to know how I did it? Outrageous tekkers.
“I am the best technical wrestler in the world, this G1 Climax is mine. Two down, seven d***heads to go. As you were.”
Sabre Jr. doubled down on his ‘best technical wrestler’ comments during the post-match press conference, and finished off by saying:
“In summary; that’s the Japanese Dragon done, I wonder where the American Dragon is. I wonder where that d***head is.”
Danielson has been open about wanting to wrestle in Japan, and if/when he gets his wish, it seems like a clash with ZSJ is on the cards.
