NJPW's KENTA (WWE's Hideo Itami) Comments On 205 Live

Not exactly a glowing retrospective...

Those who've left WWE in recent months have had less-than-pleasant things to say about their former employer, whether it was Jon Moxley's various eye-opening interviews, or frustrations expressed by Shawn Spears (the former Tye Dillinger).

KENTA, the man once known as Hideo Itami, joins that brigade, as a recent interview he did with Japan's Weekly Pro Wrestling magazine (helpfully translated by Post Wrestling) comes equipped with his own criticisms of his time with WWE.

KENTA said things began to deteriorate after his call-up to 205 Live in late-2017. He claims he could never figure out who he was supposed to be, due to a lack of in-ring activity. He adds that his in-ring work was hindered by being told what he could do and what he couldn't do.

He also adds that he has "no good memories" of his time with 205 Live, saying that he was "defanged".

Though KENTA will be competing in 2019's G1 Climax, the longtime Pro Wrestling NOAH star notes that he plans to continue living in the United States, rather than move his family again.
