NXT Wrestlers Announced For NOAH's N1 Victory Tournament

NXT wrestlers are set to compete in NOAH next month

WWE’s crossover with other promotions in professional wrestling is continuing, as it has been announced that Pro Wrestling NOAH’s upcoming N1 Victory tournament will feature some names from WWE’s developmental brand NXT.

During this weekend’s Destination show, line-ups were announced for Block A and Block B of the tournament, which runs in a similar fashion to NJPW’s G1 Climax and AEW’s Continental Classic. Two names announced were surprising additions, as NXT’s Josh Briggs and Tavion Heights were revealed for Block A and Block B respectively.

Briggs joins Kaito Kiyomiya, Masa Kitamiya, last year’s winner Go Shiozaki, Rohei Oiwa, Luis Mante, Dragon Bane and Jack morris in his group, and Heights joins a field of last year’s runner-up Kenoh, Manabu Soya, YOICHI, El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr., Ulka Sasaki, Titus Alexander and Alpha Wolf.  WWE’s new relationship with NOAH has already seen some crossover this year, with AJ Styles defeating Naomichi Marufuji at the Destination event this weekend. In 2024, WWE wrestlers competed in the likes of TNA, AJPW, GCW, and Marigold, signalling a new era for WWE’s relationship with the wider wrestling world. The N1 Victory tournament will begin on August 4th.
