Report: CM Punk & AEW Have Discussed Possible Dates

Is Punk AEW bound?

CM Punk and All Elite Wrestling have discussed dates ahead of a possible in-ring return.

It emerged earlier this week that The Straight Edge Superstar had held "ongoing conversations" with an AEW company official about returning to the squared circle and the Jacksonville-based promotion was considered Punk's likely destination. WWE management even believes Punk is heading to AEW.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has since confirmed Punk and AEW have been in talks and he noted on the Wrestling Observer Forum that possible dates have been discussed between the two parties.

"Things going on behind the scenes as far as talks about certain dates and such make me thing if this isn't signed, they have an understanding and unless a blow up it's happening," Meltzer wrote.

Since news of Punk's talks with AEW broke, the former WWE Champion hasn't denied that negotiations are happening. He even fuelled speculation about a possible AEW debut at All Out in Chicago after he posted a clip of 'Sirius' by The Alan Parsons Project on Instagram. The song is famously used by the Chicago Bulls ahead of NBA matches.
