Report: CM Punk In Talks With AEW About In-Ring Return

Is The Voice Of The Voiceless coming back?

Seven years after he last competed in a professional wrestling match, CM Punk could be set to return to the squared circle.

According to Fightful Select, Punk has held "ongoing conversations" with an All Elite Wrestling company official about an in-ring return and Tony Khan's promotion is considered The Straight Edge Superstar's likely landing spot. Fightful noted they have not had confirmation of a contract having been signed, only that Punk is in talks with AEW.

Other companies are also reportedly interested in signing Punk as an in-ring performer but no "specific offers or overtures" have been made. WWE management also believe Punk is AEW bound.

Outside of his work on the Starz series 'Heels', and a run-in at an MKE Wrestling event in April 2019, Punk hasn't wrestled since he departed WWE in 2014, but speculation about an in-ring return has circulated ever since. The Voice Of The Voiceless did admit in late 2020 that he was still open to wrestling again in the future and that he would prefer to perform in AEW than WWE.
