Former Aiden English Joins NJPW Commentary Team For Resurgence

Matt Morris has a busy schedule on the horizon

New Japan Pro-Wrestling is continuing to make preparations for Resurgence.

The August 14 event will air live on FITE TV with English commentary and NJPW announced today that former WWE Superstar Matt Morris (FKA Aiden English) will join Kevin Kelly and Alex Koslov to call the action. New Japan also teased Morris could wrestle in the promotion in the future.

NJPW's Morris announcement comes only days after the former WWE wrestler signed with IMPACT Wrestling as Drama King Matt. He will compete in IMPACT's Homecoming Tournament.

Two matches have been added to the Resurgence card as well. Alex Coughlin vs. Karl Fredericks will open the show and that match will be followed by a six-man tag team bout when Fred Rosser, Rocky Romero and Wheeler Yuta take on TJP, Clark Connors and Ren Narita.

Already announced for the show is Jay White's first defence of the NEVER Openweight Championship against David Finlay. The likes of Shota Umino, Tom Lawlor, The Good Brothers and IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley will also be in action, but their matches have yet to be revealed.
