Report: Kevin Dunn's Merged WWE Department Named

The previous departments were consolidated after mass redundancies this week

The consolidation of WWE's television department, Advanced Media Group and WWE Studios will reportedly be led by Kevin Dunn in a new division titled 'WWE Media'.

WWE made major cuts to numerous departments on Tuesday 25 May, with significant lay-offs across multiple areas of the promotion, including WWE Studios and the AMG.

The promotion is reportedly seeking to streamline their internal services, having decided that there were too many divisions essentially doing the same jobs across different platforms, with many of the severely cut-back areas now forming one, bulk department under Kevin Dunn.

According to a report from Wrestlenomics, a meeting was held following the cuts at which Dunn, WWE's executive producer and chief of global television distribution, briefly spoke. He explained that the television department, the AMG, and WWE Studios are all being consolidated under a new department called 'WWE media'. Dunn who previously oversaw the television department, will led the new division.

Wrestlenomics also report that, in total, over 60 employees were laid off by WWE in their mass cuts this week as the promotion looked to merge departments and cut what they felt were redundant positions.
