Report: Reason For No Live WWE Raw On December 26 Revealed

WWE Raw won't be live on December 26

There will be no new episodes of Monday Night Raw in 2022 as WWE announced the December 26 edition of the red brand will be a compilation show comprised of the "absolute best" the company has broadcast this year. Advertised for the show so far is Brock Lesnar using a forklift at SummerSlam and Liv Morgan's Money In The Bank win.

According to Fightful Select, WWE opted not to tape a live episode of Raw the day after Christmas to give production staff additional time off. WWE won't tape any TV shows from December 20 through December 28 on the main roster which allows those who work behind the scenes an extended period to spend at home.

A top talent noted to Fightful that it was "probably a good move" for the company, even with John Cena's in-ring return coming up on the December 30 edition of Friday Night SmackDown and the first Raw of 2023 on January 2.

WWE main roster talent won't be off over the Christmas period, though, and Raw and SmackDown wrestlers are scheduled to perform at house shows beginning on December 26. The same top talent mentioned they wish they had a little more time off but WWE pays them well for working the holiday period.
