Report: Reason Frankie Kazarian Signed With IMPACT Wrestling

Frankie Kazarian returned to IMPACT Wrestling at Hard to Kill 2023

The recent IMPACT Hard to Kill PPV featured several surprises, one of which being the full-time return of Frankie Kazarian to IMPACT Wrestling.

Kaz cut a promo during Hard to Kill stating that he was back for good, with subsequent reports stating that Kaz has indeed exited All Elite Wrestling to join IMPACT on a full-time basis. Per a report from PWInsider, Kaz asked AEW for his release and it was granted, with Kazarian said to have ‘done business the right way’ with regards to his exit. What’s more it’s said that the split from AEW was amicable and the inaugural AEW World Tag Team Champion would be welcomed back.

The former X Division Champion made a brief return to IMPACT in 2022 whilst under contract to AEW, winning the X Division Championship from Mike Bailey before unsuccessfully enacting ‘Option C’ against IMPACT World Champion Josh Alexander. PWInsider alleges that Kaz asked for his AEW release after his bout with ‘The Walking Weapon’, with Kazarian wanting to push himself hard as he enters the final stages of his career, realising there was likely more opportunity for him in IMPACT than there currently is in AEW.
