Report: Update On CM Punk's Future AEW Feuds

An update on potential CM Punk feuds in AEW

With CM Punk finally being officially announced for a comeback on the June 17 debut edition of AEW Collision in Chicago, fans can now put on their fantasy booking hats and look forward to the work he will do inside the ring. After it had previously been rumoured that Punk would be working with the likes of Chris Jericho and Samoa Joe, a report from Fightful Select has revealed another name who may be working with Punk in the near future.

“Originally we’re told there were heavy pitches for Chris Jericho to work with CM Punk, but we haven’t heard anything new on that front for quite some time. Fightful reported that Samoa Joe vs. CM Punk was planned at one point, which we have heard was still in the works. However, of late, word is that CM Punk has taken a liking to the work of Switchblade Jay White, and that he could be an early opponent or program with CM Punk along with Bullet Club Gold.”

Jay White is currently working a program with Ricky Starks, though that could well be coming to an end soon with the pair set to battle in a singles match on Dynamite.
