Report: Update On Matt Riddle Amidst WWE Absence
What's going on with Matt Riddle?
After being written off WWE TV on the December 5 edition of Monday Night Raw with an attack from Solo Sikoa, WWE announced that Matt Riddle would only be gone for six weeks. The former United States Champion was reportedly written off TV as he had been sent to rehab by WWE.
It has been much longer than six weeks since Riddle appeared on WWE TV, however, and Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Riddle has been out of rehab for some time and his suspension has been over for close to a month.
"Riddle has not been back. He's been out of rehab for a long time, his suspension has been over for almost a month now, four weeks. So it may be that they've just decided not to use him for Mania and not do anything with him, or maybe they just don't want to invest in him. I presume he'll be back, but when he left they made a point of he was gonna be gone for six weeks, and we're at about 11 or 12 weeks," Meltzer said.
When Riddle will return to WWE is unknown. He was recently spotted out and about with his current girlfriend.
