Report: Update On Robert Roode's WWE Status

Robert Roode has been gone since June

Robert Roode has undergone treatment for an undisclosed issue.

Taking to Instagram, the former United States Champion revealed he is heading home following treatment at Southlake Orthopaedics in Birmingham, Alabama.

"Heading home after what is hoped to be a successful trip to Birmingham AL. Big thank you to @southlakeortho and @andrews_sports_medicine for taking great care of me this week. Especially to the first class medical staff of Dr Micheal Ellerbusch, Dr Andrew Cordover and Dr Charles Carnel," Roode wrote.

The 45-year-old has not wrestled for WWE since a house show on June 26 where he lost to Omos. He had spent the prior month losing to Veer Mahaan at live events and Roode has not appeared on WWE TV since the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the go-home episode of SmackDown before WrestleMania 38.

Roode's Dirty Dawgs tag team partner Dolph Ziggler also had his own hiatus from WWE following WrestleMania 38 but he returned in the summer.
