Report: Vince McMahon Not Officially Involved With WWE Creative

Latest on Vince McMahon's involvement in WWE creative

An update on Vince McMahon's involvement with WWE creative has emerged.

Speculation in recent weeks has suggested McMahon was back involved with putting together creative in WWE, which only intensified following the booking of Brock Lesnar vs. Omos at WrestleMania 39 in a Goliath vs. Goliath contest. A report from WrestleVotes also noted that a "powerful person" within WWE pushed through plans for Lesnar vs. Omos at Mania, with that report being accompanied by a Vince McMahon GIF.

WrestleVotes tweeted: "I'm told the highly anticipated, very compelling Brock Lesnar vs Omos WrestleMania matchup was the idea of one specific, powerful person who pushed it through."

Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer has claimed that McMahon is not directly involved with WWE creative from an official standpoint. Chief Content Officer Triple H does listen to Vince McMahon, though. The Game has reiterated he holds the final say on all creative matters in recent interviews.

McMahon was the head of WWE creative for decades until his resignation as CEO and Chairman in July 2022 amidst a sexual misconduct and hush money scandal. He forced his way back into WWE in January 2023 to facilitate a sale of the organisation.
