Report: WWE Expected To Make Talent Cuts By July 1

WWE talent cuts expected by July 1

Since WWE was bought by Endeavor, it’s long been feared that mass cuts will be implemented across the organisation, with such cost-cutting measures normal after high-profile mergers and acquisitions.

It was initially believed that any cuts made would be to the corporate side of WWE, but a new report from Wrestlevotes via GiveMeSport suggests that talent cuts could be on the horizon, with talent departures possible within the next six weeks:

"I don't know names at all, but I know a source that has said to expect a minor batch of releases prior to July 1, I think that's just business. Hopefully I'm wrong on that one, but I would expect prior to the second half of this year, a few cuts just because of the circumstances that the company finds themselves in right now," said WrestleVotes.

Since Triple H took over as WWE Chief Content Officer and Head of Creative in summer 2022, there have been no main roster releases, with Triple H instead boosting the ranks by bringing multiple former stars back to the company.
