Ric Flair Happy With Performance In Last Match

While his performance may have caused worry, particularly in the final minutes when he was unable to hold a pair of brass knuckles and lift himself off the mat while he applied the Figure Four Leglock, Ric Flair has said he is happy with his performance in 'Ric Flair's Last Match.'

Flair teamed with son-in-law Andrade El Idolo in his retirement match on July 31, defeating Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal. 

The Nature Boy has continued to make pro wrestling appearances since his retirement and ahead of being in Andrade's corner for WWC's 49th Anniversary Show on Sunday, Flair said about his final match to Lucha Libre Online: 

"I'm very happy with it. I needed to give it one more shot. I feel like I didn't go out the right way and to have the relationship now that I do with Andrade, with Charlotte (Flair), to have a son-in-law like him to be a tag team partner, for him to tag with me at this time and have the whole family there and his family, who I have gotten to know well, watched it from Mexico. It was big for all of them. It was especially big for me because my entire family was there and the only person to get an opportunity to do that twice: once in 2008 with Shawn Michaels (at WrestleMania) and now with my son-in-law in Nashville. It was big," Flair said. 

Flair ended up getting physical during his appearance in Puerto Rico on Sunday as he and Carlos Colon had one final scuffle. 

'Ric Flair's Last Match' was also a big success, according to Dave Meltzer, and the show drew 24,000-29,000 pay-per-view buys and a $448,000 gate.
