SPOILER: NJPW Star Makes Surprise Appearance At ROH TV Tapings

Spoiler On A NJPW Champion Showing Up At ROH’s Tapings

Ring Of Honor held their first set of TV tapings on February 25 from Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida ahead of the relaunch of weekly television for the company, set to air on HonorClub. Tony Khan didn’t hold back on giving the fans some big moments and surprise appearances at the tapings.

Among the bigger surprises at the tapings, the NJPW World TV Champion, Zack Sabre Jr, made a surprise appearance at the show, defending his championship against Blake Christian. ZSJ has appeared on Tony Khan’s programming before, showing up on AEW Dynamite prior to his big singles match at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door PPV in 2022, where he faced the debuting Claudio Castagnoli.

It is the first time since 2019 that ZSJ has appeared in ROH, with his last match on weekly TV coming against Rocky Romero. The new-look ROH is set to have a lot of ‘forbidden door’ crossing between promotions, as the tapings saw an array of other crossovers too. ZSJ won the NJPW World TV Title at Wrestle Kingdom 17, becoming the inaugural champion.
