SPOILER On AEW World Title Match At Grand Slam 2024

HUGE SPOILER For AEW Grand Slam 2024

Following a special Blood & Guts episode of Dynamite, All Elite Wrestling taped the Friday, July 26 episode of Rampage from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday night.

It was announced ahead of Rampage that a Royal Rampage battle royal would determine the AEW World Title challenger at Grand Slam.

The Royal Rampage battle royal opened the Rampage taping and featured Orange Cassidy, Brody King, Claudio Castagnoli, Komander, Brian Cage, Tomohiro Ishii, The Butcher, Roderick String, Matt Menard, Brandon Cutler, Kyle O'Reilly, Jeff Jarrett, Matt Taven, Jay Lethal, Kip Sabian, Mike Bennett, Darby Allin, and Lio Rush.

Jeff Jarrett was one of the final competitors in the match and he was close to victory at one point, only for Hangman Adam Page to interfere and attack JJ, causing his elimination in the process. Page's attack came after Jarrett interfered in Blood & Guts and helped free Swerve Strickland after Hangman handcuffed the AEW World Champion to the outside of the cage.

The match came down to Darby Allin and Claudio Castagnoli, with Darby ultimately eliminating 'The Swiss Superman' to earn the AEW World Title match at Grand Slam on September 25. Allin may have the opportunity to become a double champion at Grand Slam as he will challenge Jack Perry for the TNT Championship at All In on August 25.

Who Allin will challenge for the AEW World Championship is unknown. Swerve Strickland is scheduled to defend the title against Bryan Danielson at All In and there may also be another title match at All Out on September 7 before Grand Slam.

Beyond the Royal Rampage battle royal, Kris Statlander defeated Leila Grey, Lance Archer won a squash match, and Rush & Kyle Fletcher emerged victorious from a tag team four-way featuring Private Party, The Righteous, and The Outrunners.

Full AEW Rampage spoilers for July 26:

  • Kris Statlander def. Leila Grey
  • Lance Archer def. An enhancement talent
  • RUSH & Kyle Fletcher def. Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen), The Righteous (Vincent & Dutch), & The Outrunners (Turbo Floyd & Truth Magnum)
