Swerve Strickland In-Ring Debut Set For AEW Rampage

Strickland in action

After signing his All Elite Wrestling contract at Revolution on Sunday, Swerve Strickland will make his in-ring debut in the promotion on Friday's episode of Rampage.

Strickland will go one-on-one with his former WWE colleague Tony Nese.

Strickland and Nese teamed together and faced each other in 2020 with the then-Isaiah 'Swerve' Scott picking up the win in both of their WWE NXT singles matches. They also faced off at a 2013 indy show, which Strickland also won.

Nese was released by WWE in June 2021 while Strickland was let go a few months later in November.

Also set for Rampage is Darby Allin vs. Private Party's Marq Quen. The now-defunct AHFO turned on Matt Hardy on Wednesday's episode of Dynamite and Darby Allin made the save for Matt before the debuting Jeff Hardy came down to the ring and took out the remainder of the heel faction.

Furthermore, Keith Lee will face QT Marshall, while Jamie Hayter will take on Mercedes Martinez in a Grudge Match.

Check out the card below:

  • Swerve Strickland vs. Tony Nese
  • Jamie Hayter vs. Mercedes Martinez
  • Darby Allin vs. Marq Quen
  • Keith Lee vs. QT Marshall
