TBS Title Match, Four Pillars Tournament Final Set For AEW Dynamite

Major matches announced for AEW Dynamite next week

Over a month on from her debut in All Elite Wrestling, Taya Valkyrie will finally challenge Jade Cargill for the TBS Championship on the April 26 edition of AEW Dynamite.

Valkyrie immediately set her sights on the TBS Championship when she made her AEW debut in March and the former IMPACT Knockouts World Champion has since gone 4-0 with wins over Ava Lawless, Marina Shafir, Emi Sakura, and The Baddies' Leila Grey. Cargill, meanwhile, is the longest-reigning champion in AEW history, having held the TBS Title since it was established in January 2022. If she defeats Valkyrie, Cargill will have successfully defended the championship 22 times.

The next challenger for the AEW World Championship will also be decided next week. It was revealed on the April 19 episode of Dynamite that a Four Pillars Tournament would be held to determine MJF's opponent after weeks of promos between the AEW World Champion, Sammy Guevara, "Jungle Boy" Jack Perry, and Darby Allin.

Darby automatically advanced to the final after his name was picked out of a hat by MJF. Jungle Boy and Sammy Guevara then went one-on-one in the main event of Dynamite and Guevara ended up advancing to the final following a count-out win over Jack Perry.

With the count-out finish, though, many expect the next AEW World Title match will end up being a Four-Way between the Four Pillars of AEW.

Check out the lineup for Dynamite below:

  • Jade Cargill (c) vs. Taya Valkyrie - TBS Championship
