Tetsuya Naito Comments On Possible Forbidden Door Match With Andrade El Idolo
Could Los Ingobernables run wild through the Forbidden Door?
No matches have been made official yet for the upcoming AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event, but it hasn’t stopped fans and wrestlers alike speculating on what could go down.
One scenario that has been floated is Tetsuya Naito teaming with Andrade El Idolo, due to to both men’s ties to Los Ingobernables faction. Naito was asked about the possibility of teaming with Adrade, saying the following to Sports Illustrated:
“Do people want that? Are they interested in me teaming with Andrade? Are they excited? My answer to that, of course, is, ‘Tranquillo,’” said Naito.
Andrade was a founding member of Los Ingobernables during his time in CMLL as La Sombra, with Naito heading up NJPW splinter group Los Ingobernables de Japon since its formation in 2015.
Naito recently took to Twitter to pour scorn on AEW wrestlers initiating challenges with NJPW talent, to which FTW Champion Ricky Starks seemingly responded.
AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door is set for June 26 in Chicago’s United Center.
