The Revival's WWE Contract Expiry Date Revealed

It's a while away...

Last week the wrestling world was taken aback by the rumour and innuendo surrounding The Revival reportedly asking for their WWE release. BodySlam.net initially reported that Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson asked the company to let them go before Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com reported that there were genuine concerns behind the scenes in WWE that the Raw stars could ask to leave for pastures new.

Then, Dave Meltzer reported that Dash and Dawson did indeed ask for their release from WWE – while dressed in their gear immediately following their match against Lucha House Party on Raw, with Pro Wrestling Sheet adding that the treatment of tag teams on Raw played a large role in their decision.

Now, thanks to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, we know when the former NXT Tag Team Champion's contracts run out - April 2020, to be precise.

If the pair have asked for their release this puts them in an interesting situation. They could be Nevilled - meaning they will be forced to sit out the remainder of their contract without being used at all. Or they could be Rusevd - The Bulgarian Brute was alleged to have asked for his release before being added to the United States Championship match at WrestleMania 34.

With AEW surely the destination for The Revival should they leave WWE - I reckon they could be forced into the former...
