The Rock & John Cena's Continued Contact With Vince McMahon Condemned By Janel Grant's Spokesperson

The Rock and John Cena condemned over contact with Vince McMahon

The Rock and John Cena's alleged continued contact with Vince McMahon has been condemned by a spokesperson for Janel Grant.

Vince McMahon resigned as TKO Executive Chairman in January 2024 after Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against the 78-year-old, WWE, and John Laurinaitis. McMahon is accused of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and physical and emotional abuse, while WWE have been accused of trying to cover up the allegations against the former WWE Chairman and CEO. John Laurinaitis has been accused of sexual assault by Grant.

The case remains ongoing and a long piece from NBC News about McMahon's actions since his resignation revealed that McMahon has been in touch with Dwayne Johnson and John Cena, although representatives for both The Rock and Cena did not comment.

Responding to the NBC News story, Janel Grant's spokesperson stated (H/T Brandon Thurston): "It's shameful that Mr. Johnson and Mr. Cena would associate themselves with an individual with decades of allegations just like Janel's. Behind-the-scenes support is louder than any public statement ever could be."

John Cena has already faced a public backlash over his support for Vince McMahon. WWE have looked to distance themselves from the 78-year-old since his resignation with the establishment of the 'Triple H era' on WWE TV. McMahon's remaining shares in TKO Group Holdings, the parent company of WWE and UFC, are currently up for sale.
