The UK Originally Considered For TNA Bound For Glory 2024

TNA Bound For Glory 2024 was close to heading to the UK

TNA Wrestling almost held a major pay-per-view in the United Kingdom in 2024.

According to Fightful Select, the UK was under consideration as the location for Bound For Glory. TNA Wrestling ultimately didn't go with the UK this time around but Fightful noted that TNA returning to the United Kingdom in 2024 is not off the table.

Instead of the United Kingdom, Bound For Glory 2024 will emanate from the Wayne State University Fieldhouse in Detroit, Michigan on Saturday, October 26. This will be the first time Bound For Glory has taken place in Detroit since 2006.

It was originally announced by TNA that Bound For Glory would be held in one of the top 10 most visited cities in the world and a city that has never hosted a TNA pay-per-view. If The UK was the plan, this would have meant London, England was under consideration for BFG.

TNA Wrestling have a long history in the United Kingdom and their biggest-ever attendance remains a house show at Wembley Arena from January 2009 which drew over 8,100 fans. TNA returned to the UK last year for their UK Invasion tour, holding shows in Glasgow, Scotland and Coventry, England along with the Turning Point special in Newcastle upon Tyne, England.

Scott D'Amore revealed to Cultaholic in 2023 that TNA planned to return to the UK in 2024 but he was fired as TNA President earlier this year.
