Thunder Rosa Reportedly Cleared To Compete, Rosa Hits Back At 'Lies'

Thunder Rosa responds to reports of her being cleared to wrestle

Thunder Rosa has been absent from AEW programming for around a month, last wrestling in a TBS Championship number one contenders match on the August 31 episode of AEW Collision. Hikaru Shida defeated Rosa, Serena Deeb and Queen Aminata to earn a shot at All Out 2024. Prior to that, Rosa had been engaged in a months-long feud with Deonna Purrazzo, which culminated in a Texas Bullrope match, won by Rosa on the August 10 Collision show.

She was ruled out with a concussion, presumably suffered during the four way, as revealed by herself a couple of weeks back, where she noted that she needed some time to recover. Rosa may very well be back in the mix on AEW programming very soon, as Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter this week that she was cleared to compete in AEW, meaning that her return is imminent.

However, Rosa has hit back at this piece of news by calling it all lies, saying the following in a post on X.

“STOP LYING ABOUT MY HEALTH. I’m NOT CLEARED AND WHEN I AM I WILL ANNOUNCE IT. I reserve the right to divulge my medical status. If you need information ask me directly or my team….”

Rosa returned from her previous injury in December 2023 after being ruled out for nearly a year and a half, relinquishing the AEW Women’s World Championship all the way back in 2022.
