Trent Recovering From Spinal Fusion Surgery

After returning to the ring in April following a several month injury layoff, Best Friends member Trent is sidelined once more, revealing that he's undergone spinal fusion surgery.
Trent posted a tweet from his hospital bed, with adhesive covering an incision on his neck. He wrote, "Neck fusion surgery went well."
After being sidelined in December with a partially torn pectoral muscle, Trent returned to television at the end of March, reuniting with Best Friends. He wrestled four matches in his comeback, the last of which took place on the April 21 Dynamite, where he lost to Penta El Zero Miedo.
Since then, Trent had made appearances alongside Best Friends teammates Chuck Taylor, Orange Cassidy, and Kris Statlander, in non-wrestling capacities.
There is no timetable yet for Trent's return. Generally, spinal fusion surgery does tend to keep wrestlers on the shelf for long periods of time. Notable wrestlers who've had the procedure include Steve Austin around 2000, Chris Benoit in 2001, Edge in 2002, and Tyson Kidd in 2015. In each case except Kidd's (who was forced to retire), recovery took between nine to 12 months.
