Triple H Reveals Scrapped Ozzy Osbourne Plans For WWE Survivor Series WarGames

Ozzy Osbourne almost appeared at WWE Survivor Series WarGames

Ozzy Osbourne returned to WWE over the weekend, making an appearance during the opening video package of Survivor Series WarGames as his dulcet tones from Black Sabbath's 'War Pigs' played.

'War Pigs' was then used again for the Men's WarGames video package and 'Parasite' from Osbourne's new solo album Patient Number 9 was the official theme song for Survivor Series WarGames.

Despite his appearance in the opening video package, WWE had bigger plans for Osbourne. Triple H revealed during the post-Survivor Series press conference that he spoke to Ozzy about performing at the event but the "timing wasn't right." The WWE Chief Content Officer is looking forward to working with Ozzy and wife Sharon Osbourne again in the future, though.

'War Pigs' has been associated with WarGames in recent years, having previously been used for the 2020 edition of NXT TakeOver: WarGames. That event saw Undisputed ERA defeat The Kings of NXT - the faction of Pat McAfee, Oney Lorcan, Danny Burch, and Pete Dunne (now Butch).
