Ultimo Dragon Wants AEW Match With Chris Jericho
Could Ultimo Dragon and Chris Jericho wrestle one last time in an AEW ring?
Chris Jericho is arguably having one of the best years of his career in AEW, with the current reigning ROH World Champion having been a part of multiple high profile bouts, whilst pulling off one of his customary character tweaks.
Whilst Jericho is currently working his way through ROH World Champions of the past, one of his old WCW rivals wants another shot at ‘The Wizard’, with the legendary Ultimo Dragon revealing to Sports Illustrated that he wants to face Jericho one more time:
“I am honestly not very familiar with AEW,” Dragon said. “But if I have the opportunity, I would really like to participate in one of their shows and end my rivalry with Jericho.”
The pair last wrestled each other in 1998, with the then WCW Cruiserweight Champion Jericho defeating Ultimo Dragon on an episode of WCW Thunder in July 1998. If Ultimo Dragon does make his way to AEW, he will follow in the footsteps of Juventud Guerrera as ‘Juvi Juice’ made his AEW debut in August 2021 to take on his former rival as part of Jericho’s feud with MJF.
