Update On Brooks Jensen's NXT Status

Several questions were raised over the past week over the status of NXT’s Brooks Jensen. Following a sea of releases from both the main roster and NXT in recent months, Jensen posted his ‘booking email’ on X, along with several other tweets that suggested that his time with the company was done. 

However, it appears as though all of this is just a work. 

Corey Brennan of Fightful Select asked around in WWE, and despite some apprehension and confusion from some, it was finally revealed by a source that Jensen’s recent antics are part of a storyline. For instance, last night Jensen was spotted ringside during an NXT live event in Tampa, Florida, and held up a sign which read “Bret would book this better” - something that was then later posted to his social media. To help with the angle, Jensen was thrown out of the building. 

Going forwards, the expectation is for Jensen’s ongoing storyline to be brought onto NXT programming, with comparisons drawn to the anti-authority storyline previously involving Grayson Waller and Shawn Michaels prior to the Australian’s main roster call up. The report went on to state that Jensen was branded as one of the hardest working talents in NXT by a fellow talent.
