Update On Ricky Starks Amid AEW Absence

Latest on AEW's Ricky Starks

Ricky Starks has provided an update on his status with All Elite Wrestling.

Starks has not appeared on AEW TV since the March 30 episode of Collision when he and Big Bill lost to Top Flight in the AEW World Tag Team Title tournament. Fightful Select noted that Starks and Big Bill were the original planned winners of the match but the finish was changed, with Starks being pinned following a DDT from Darius Martin.

There was speculation that Starks may have suffered an injury but Starks clarified following the March 30 match that they only went to the finish as a precaution.

A new update on Starks' status with All Elite Wrestling has since emerged with the man himself stating that he was in Jacksonville, Florida last week to undergo his annual AEW physical. He also reconfirmed that he is not dealing with an injury

"To ease anyone's mind, I’m not injured. Never was. Pick another narrative pleaseeeee. I did squat a little over 400lbs and not even my max," Starks tweeted.

There is no word on when Starks will return to AEW TV. His tag team with Big Bill looks to be over, however, as Mr Bill will team with Chris Jericho on Wednesday night's Dynamite as part of the Learning Tree.

Rumours of Starks' AEW deal expiring were debunked earlier this year.
