Injury Update On Eddie Kingston

An update has been provided on the status of Eddie Kingston's leg injury

When defending (and losing) the NJPW Strong Openweight Championship at the recent NJPW Resurgence event against Gabe Kidd in a No Ropes Last Man Standing match, Eddie Kingston suffered an injury following a brutal landing after taking a suplex to the outside of the ring and through a table. Kingston’s leg smashed against the fenced barricade, and he was clearly affected directly after taking the move, though he managed to complete the match. This led to Kingston being taken out of the planned Anarchy In The Arena match at AEW Double Or Nothing 2024.

A report from PWInsider has offered some details surrounding Kingston’s injury, confirming a tibular fracture to his leg. The report states that after a series of X-Rays, the extent of Kingston’s injury was revealed, though there is no news on whether or not he will need surgery. It is said that Kingston is still awaiting confirmation on how to proceed.

It doesn’t look like Kingston will be out for too long though, as he is hoping to return to the ring by AEW All In: London 2024, which is only a few months away.
