Update On WWE Plans To Revive Bad Blood

More on plans to revive WWE Bad Blood PLE

Reports recently suggested that WWE was set to dust off a classic event name, with Bad Blood believed to be set for a comeback in late 2024.

With WWE axing ‘gimmick’ pay-per-views such as Hell in a Cell, TLC, and others, there have been shake-ups to the PPV calendar, and it was believed that Bad Blood’s return could be a logical event to host a Hell in a Cell match, with 2024 marking 20 years since the last Bad Blood event.

A follow-up report from PWInsider suggests that WWE are looking at hosting the event on Saturday, October 5 - 27 years to the day since the first-ever Hell in a Cell match at In Your House: Badd Blood in 1997. WWE are believed to be looking at Atlanta as a potential host city for the event.

Badd Blood 1997 featured Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker clashing in the first-ever Hell in a Cell match, with Kane debuting mid-match to attack The Undertaker, setting a bloodied and battered Michaels up for the win. Subsequent editions in 2003 and 2004 were headlined by Triple H vs. Kevin Nash in the cell, and Triple H vs. Michaels in the cell respectively.
