Veer Mahaan To Make WWE Raw Debut On 4/4 Broadcast

For real this time

WWE announced on Monday that Veer Mahaan, after an endless series of hype vignettes, will debut the night after WrestleMania 38, on the April 4 edition of Monday Night Raw.

"Veer Mahaan Coming to Raw" vignettes have run since October of last year, but Mahaan has yet to officially appear on the show since their commencement. The frequency of the hype vignettes, and the fact that Mahaan has yet to arrive, have become a running gag in a similar vein to Brodus Clay's 2011-12 train of hype, and the 2016-17 promotion of Emmalina (Tenille Dashwood).

Mahaan signed with WWE in January of 2018, and reported to their developmental territory. He wrestled his first match in May of that year.

In the spring of 2020 in NXT, Mahaan formed Indus Sher with Saurav Gurjar. The following year, Mahaan debuted on the main roster along with the seven-foot Shanky, both as allies of Jinder Mahal.

As part of the 2021 Draft, Mahal and Shanky were moved to SmackDown, while Mahaan remained on Raw. In the time since the hype vignettes have played, Mahaan has wrestled 12 matches on Main Event, going undefeated.
