W. Morrissey Returns On AEW Dynamite

Former WWE and IMPACT star W. Morrissey returns to AEW

Former WWE and IMPACT Wrestling star W. Morrissey made his AEW return on the August 31 edition of Dynamite, and it seems the former Big Cass will be sticking around this time.

On Dynamite, The Wingmen were staging an in-ring protest demanding more TV time until Morrissey made a shock appearance, laying out the entire faction with ease. Stokely Hathaway soon made his way to the ring and handed Morrissey his business card, suggesting that the former NXT star will be part of Hathaway’s new group, which also features Ethan Page, Lee Moriarty, and The Gunn Club.

Whilst this all suggests that Morrissey will be sticking around in AEW, he is yet to receive an ‘All Elite’ graphic, and the nature of any deal between Morrissey and AEW is unknown at this point.

Morrissey has made one prior appearance in AEW, losing to Wardlow in May 2022 as part of MJF’s trials for the ‘War Dog’. After his WWE release in 2018 and subsequent battles with addiction, Morrissey cleaned up, got in shape and went on a great run in IMPACT Wrestling in 2021, finishing up with IMPACT in May 2022. Since then Morrissey has wrestled just once on an indie show in June.
