W. Morrissey Debuts On AEW Dynamite

IMPACT Wrestling’s W. Morrissey wrestled Wardlow on AEW: Dynamite

After being teased by MJF on the April 27 edition of AEW: Dynamite, IMPACT Wrestling’s W. Morrissey made his AEW debut in singles action against Wardlow last night.

Morrissey was the latest hired gun employed by MJF in an attempt to take down former bodyguard Wardlow, with Morrissey following the likes of Lance Archer and The Butcher in having a shot at the ‘War Dog’.

Unfortunately for Morrissey, his fate was the same as Butcher and Archer, as Wardlow took the big man down with a moonsault and a powerbomb for the hard fought win.

Fans knew it would be Morrissey as the latest hired gun after MJF had earlier mentioned that Wardlow would be taking on someone taller than him “and you can’t teach that”, using the old Enzo and Cass line from WWE.

This is the latest step for Morrissey in his career renaissance, following a successful first year in IMPACT Wrestling. The former Big Cass debuted for IMPACT in April 2021, and even challenged for the IMPACT World Championship at Hard to Kill 2022.
