Report: Tessa Blanchard's WOW Status Uncertain After 'Tearing Apart' Trainee

Tessa Blanchard may be done with another promotion

Tessa Blanchard's future in professional wrestling is uncertain once again.

The former IMPACT World Champion was set to be the star of WOW - Women Of Wrestling's relaunch but Blanchard's status with the promotion is now uncertain, according to Fightful Select, due to both sides falling out.

A source within WOW alleged that Blanchard cut a promo on Samantha Sage (now Americana) during a class in mid-April in which Blanchard tore apart Sage. Many trainees spoke up about the incident and acting classes have since been cancelled until further notice.

A different source also noted Blanchard is no longer the head of training talent, with Selina Majors returning to that role. A trainee was told Blanchard would be less involved and The Queen Of The Carolinas' status for this week's WOW tapings is unclear.

A former WOW star speculated Blanchard was actually done with the promotion but that has not been confirmed. Another source also joked Blanchard would only be able to get booked in Mexico, saying: "If you are a fan of Tessa, you'd better learn Spanish."

The return of WOW - Women Of Wrestling was announced last year with Blanchard and AJ Mendez involved with the promotion. At the time, it was noted new episodes of WOW would air on weekend syndication from autumn 2022.
