Why WWE Has Moved Away From Minneapolis As The Host Of WrestleMania 41

Weather behind WWE likely switching plans for WrestleMania 41

WrestleMania 41 looked nailed on to take place at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota but the likelihood of 'Mania in the Twin Cities has become less and less likely in recent weeks, with Las Vegas now the front-runner to host the 2025 edition of WWE's biggest show of the year.

Fightful Select has reported there had been a heavy internal push within WWE for Las Vegas to host WrestleMania 41 that only increased following the WrestleMania 40 kickoff event in February and the success of the Super Bowl at Allegiant Stadium. Another reason for the move away from Minneapolis was due to the weather, with WWE higher-ups not keen on a cold-weather WrestleMania in 2025, even if Mania would take place indoors in Minnesota.

There has yet to be an official announcement from WWE about WrestleMania XLI but Fightful noted that people of influence within the pro wrestling promotion have heard Las Vegas is the likely destination at the moment.

WrestleMania could also take place later in the year going forward after WWE President Nick Khan revealed the company will avoid going against the Final Four of March Madness. Moving WrestleMania to May has been considered but Fightful stated that early indications suggest WrestleMania 41 will be held in April 2025.
