Why WWE WrestleMania 41 Will Be Held On Easter Weekend

Why WWE changed plans for WrestleMania 41

Easter weekend is ultimately a time of celebration, filled with eating easter eggs and other assorted activities. 2025 will feature a bumper Easter weekend for pro wrestling fans, though, as it has been announced that WWE WrestleMania 41 will take place on Saturday, April 19 and Sunday, April 20 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

WWE already changed the location of WrestleMania 41, moving away from the original front-runner of US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The company then decided to hold their biggest show of the year over Easter weekend as it is traditionally a bad period for tourism in Las Vegas, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio.

"Vegas wanted it because they wanted them in when it traditionally is not a good weekend for tourism. That's the reason they wanted them in because they wanted them in on a weekend that's not good for tourism. So they'll have a great weekend because lots of people are going to come in. So that was the reason that it was that weekend. You know, WWE just wanted to make sure that they were away from the Final Four. There were two dates noted. That was the first weekend of May, and then it was Easter weekend. And you know, traditionally, WWE has always avoided Easter, but the city of Las Vegas wanted Easter. That's the deal. I'm sure they're super excited about Allegiant Stadium," Meltzer said.

WrestleMania is not expected to take place in early April moving forward, with WWE President Nick Khan noting the company wanted to avoid airing against the Final Four of March Madness. WrestleMania has traditionally been held in late March or early April.
