William Regal Admits He Will Be Happy If MJF Wins AEW World Title At Full Gear

William Regal on MJF's chances at AEW Full Gear

The latest exchange between William Regal and MJF has taken place.

Regal and Maxwell Jacob Friedman have been locked in a war of words in recent weeks but after MJF asked Regal on his Gentleman Villain podcast how he will feel after The Salt of the Earth proves him wrong at Full Gear, Regal admitted he will be happy.

"I'm going to feel happy if he proves me wrong; I'm gonna be happy. Then he's done something that I could never do. I'm happy that he's in the position he's in. I'm happy if you can get to that position, and he has. I'm happy for him. I'm happy for the fact that he's as good as he is. I said that the other day. I'm happy that he's as talented as he is because he certainly figured that out without going through 1000 matches or driving up and down. Whatever amount of time is, COVID was two years of that, so he's certainly not been - he's been getting very few matches, and he's as good as he is. He's incredibly good. As incredibly good as he is on a microphone and getting people to truly care about him. I'm happy for him. If he wins and beats Jon Moxley, I'm happy for him. I'm not gonna be happy for the fact that somebody who's very close to me has lost the AEW World Championship. But I actually think he has a shot," Regal said.

The Gentleman Villain doesn't know if MJF can actually beat Jon Moxley without taking shortcuts at Full Gear, though.

"Well, I don't know about that. But I don't care. That was just me when I talk about shortcuts that's not taking shortcuts in the ring so much. That's just taking shortcuts in life, in training. He just happens to be naturally talented at this," Regal added.

MJF will challenge Regal's Blackpool Combat Club stablemate Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship at Full Gear on November 19.
