William Regal Debuts At AEW Revolution

The former NXT GM is All Elite

William Regal made his AEW at Revolution on Sunday night in Orlando, appearing after the match between Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson.

Moxley had just defeated Danielson in a bloody, hard-hitting, submission hold-filled battle, after countering Danielson's triangle choke into a bridging pinning combination.

After the match, Moxley and Danielson continued striking each other, prompting referees and security to hit the ring. As that was occurring, Regal made his way to the ring to a loud cheer.

After entering the ring, Regal struck Moxley and began admonishing him. Danielson laughed, only Regal to turn and strike him as well, giving him a similar scolding. Regal then stepped back and ordered the two to shake hands, which they ultimately did.

Though Regal only used the "William" name in WWE, he was referred to by that name in AEW.

Tony Khan tweeted (minus the customary graphic) that Regal is "All Elite".

After more than two decades with WWE (the last decade or so spent as an administrator both on screen and off), Regal was released by WWE on January 5.
