WWE, AEW Interested In Signing Thunder Rosa

Could WWE swoop in again...

On last night's edition of UWN Primetime Live, Thunder Rosa dropped the NWA World Women's Championship to AEW's Serena Deeb. The title change came as a shock to many as "La Mera Mera" looked set to hold on to the title for a while longer.

Shortly after the match, Dave Meltzer tweeted that he had been told the title change was likely and Rosa has been attracting interest from WWE and All Elite Wrestling.

Meltzer wrote: "Serena Deeb of AEW (sorry) won the NWA women's title from Thunder Rosa tonight. We did hear about this likely happening and that both WWE & AEW had interest in her."

Rosa has been a regular feature in AEW since she debuted back in August. She went on to face Hikaru Shida at All Out and briefly feuded with Ivelisse following their NWA World Women's Title match.

This also isn't the first time WWE has been interested in signing Thunder Rosa. The NWA star told Wrestling Inc. she was invited to a referee try out in September 2019 but opted to sign with Combate Americas instead. She then received an offer from the NWA two days later and has remained with the promotion ever since.
