WWE Applies For Becky Lynch-Related Trademark

Could this mean the imminent return of 'The Man'?

WWE have applied for a trademark related to absentee superstar Becky Lynch.

Lynch, the former Raw Women's Champion and the first female winner in a WrestleMania main event, has not been seen since May 2020 after declaring her pregnancy to the world and awarding the title to the Women's Money In the Bank winner, Asuka. She would give birth to her daughter, Roux, in December.

'The Man' was previously known as 'The Lasskicker' and it is moniker that WWE have registered a new trademark for with the United States Patent & Trademark Office.

The application with USPTO reads:

LASSKICKER trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment.

WWE have also applied for a similar trademark for another absentee superstar, Riddick Moss. WWE have sought to register the trademark on the name of the former 24/7 champion.
