WWE Changes Plans For WarGames At Survivor Series

Latest on WWE's plans for WarGames at Survivor Series

Following its introduction on the main roster at last year's Survivor Series, WarGames will reportedly be returning for the 2023 edition of Survivor Series. The pay-per-view will emanate from Chicago's Allstate Arena on Saturday, November 25.

No official announcement about WarGames has been made as of yet but the company's internal plans for the match have changed, according to WrestleVotes.

"Regarding WarGames, I'm told creative within WWE has gone back & forth for a while now on the matchup for Survivor Series. Within the last few weeks the thought was to keep the story only on the RAW side of things, but the sense from a source is that has now changed…" WrestleVotes tweeted.

Past reports have indicated Judgment Day could be involved in the match but this new report could lead to The Bloodline entering the double-ring once again, possibly against a collection of babyfaces that includes Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, and others.

The two-ringed cage match was originally a staple of Jim Crockett Promotions and then WCW before being revived in WWE NXT by Triple H. The WWE Chief Content Officer brought the stipulation to the main roster in 2022 in a match of The Bloodline vs. Kevin Owens, Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Ridge Holland, and Butch.
