WWE Files Trademark For "In-Dex"

For the rather unlikely duo

Power couples of renown have gone the "hybrid name" route before (i.e. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez as "Bennifer"). WWE is co-opting that same thought for an NXT combo, with the trademark to back it up.

WWE filed a trademark for "In-Dex" on Wednesday, April 21, referring to the mash-up name for NXT performers Indi Hartwell and Dexter Lumis.

Hartwell has been aligned with The Way, which Lumis has been feuding with for some time. The two have still managed to connect, however, despite Candice LeRae doing her best to keep them apart.

The filing (provided by Fightful) reads, in part, "Mark For: IN-DEX trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment."

Another filing was made regarding merchandising of the trademark.
