WWE Files Trademark For "Jacob Fatu" After Debut
WWE have filed a trademark for "Jacob Fatu"
The June 21 edition of Friday Night SmackDown saw the huge debut of Jacob Fatu, who dismantled WWE’s top babyfaces and nailed a top rope splash through the announce table on Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. Fatu stood tall with The Bloodline, joining the trio of Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa as part of the new iteration of the group.
In the aftermath of Fatu’s on-screen debut, WWE have filed a trademark for his name with the following listing.
“Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment”
This indicates that Fatu will continue competing under his real name rather than WWE handing him a new one, like with Tonga Loa who formerly went under the moniker of Tanga Loa. WWE also recently filed a trademark for “Talla Tonga”, which is believed to be for Hikuleo, and also for "Caesar Sikoa".
