WWE NXT's Charlie Dempsey Invades TNA On IMPACT

TNA IMPACT was invaded by WWE NXT star Charlie Dempsey

The latest chapter in the TNA vs. WWE NXT war was written with aplomb, when NXT’s Charlie Dempsey arrived unannounced in the IMPACT Zone, attacking several TNA talents during the July 4 episode of IMPACT.

Dempsey made his presence felt during a singles bout between Leon Slater and former TNA X-Division Champion Trey Miguel, with Dempsey attacking both men, before throwing the referee across the ring. Several TNA officials soon arrived on the scene to subdue the No Quarter Catch Crew member after he locked Slater in the Regal Stretch.

Miguel’s Rascalz partner Zachary Wentz was incensed by Dempsey’s actions, challenging the second-generation star to a match on the July 11 episode of TNA IMPACT.

Dempsey becomes the second NXT star to cross over to TNA, following Tatum Paxley who unsuccessfully challenged TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace at TNA Against All Odds in June 2024. For Dempsey, TNA becomes the fourth promotion he has wrestled for in 2024, having also competed in WWE NXT, All Japan Pro-Wrestling, and Game Changer Wrestling in just seven months.

It remains to be seen if NXT will make their presence felt at the upcoming TNA Slammiversary pay-per-view event on July 20, with the two sides having struck up a working agreement over the previous months.
