TNA Star Backstage At AEW Dynamite

A TNA star was backstage at the July 3 edition of AEW Dynamite from the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois. 

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Mustafa Ali was backstage at the show visiting. Ali is from Chicago and it appears he was simply in the area and took the opportunity to visit a few friends. 

Ali has been a part of TNA Wrestling since the beginning of 2024, having joined the company following his WWE release in 2023. He has cemented himself as one of the top talents in TNA and he is the reigning X-Division Champion, having defeated Chris Sabin for the gold at No Surrender in February. Ali has since defended the title against the likes of Jake Something, Ace Austin, and Trent Seven. 

Although Ali is featured prominently on TNA IMPACT, he is only signed to a per-appearance deal with the promotion. Outside of TNA, Ali has wrestled for New Japan Pro-Wrestling and on the indies for the likes of House of Glory, DPW, and Wrestling REVOLVER.

Another TNA star in "Speedball" Mike Bailey was backstage at the June 20 tapings of AEW Collision. Ali and Bailey will actually go one-on-one for the TNA X-Division Championship at Slammiversary on July 20.
