WWE NXT To Hold Roadblock TV Special

NXT Roadblock set to return

With Vengeance Day out of the way, NXT are gearing up for their next stop on the road to WrestleMania weekend, with Roadblock set to air as an NXT TV special on March 7.

The show was announced on the February 14 edition of NXT, with Meiko Satomura set to challenge NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez for the gold on the show.

This will be the second Roadblock show in NXT history, with the first edition in 2022 headlined by a triple threat match for the NXT Championship, with Dolph Ziggler overcoming Tommaso Ciampa and champion Bron Breakker to leave with the gold.

Before NXT, WWE hosted two Roadblock events in 2016, with the inaugural edition headlined by Triple H defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Dean Ambrose. Whilst the first was a Network special in the run-up to WrestleMania 32, the December 2016 Roadblock: End of the Line event was more of a traditional PPV special, with Kevin Owens retaining the WWE Universal Championship against Roman Reigns in the main event.

NXT’s next major event is Stand & Deliver 2023, set for a matinee showing on April 1 before that night’s WrestleMania 39 Night One.
