Zack Sabre Jr Issues Challenge For Forbidden Door 2024
Zack Sabre Jr wants to face an AEW star at Forbidden Door
The Forbidden Door 2024 PPV is fast approaching, and it is set to feature stars from AEW, NJPW, Stardom, and CMLL. On last night’s AEW Collision, a top star from NJPW made his presence known, and issued a challenge for the upcoming show.
The former two-time NJPW World Television Champion Zack Sabre Jr challenged Orange Cassidy to a singles match at Forbidden Door. Last year, Cassidy defended the AEW International Championship in a fatal four way which also featured Zack Sabre Jr, Daniel Garcia, and Katsuyori Shibata, so ZSJ is looking for some revenge following that loss. This will be the third time ZSJ has appeared at Forbidden Door, taking on the debuting Claudio Castagnoli in 2022.
He is no stranger to AEW, competing against Bryan Danielson at WrestleDream 2023. He would go on to defeat Danielson over in NJPW in a rematch. Cassidy has not yet responded to the challenge, but one would assume that the match will be made official sooner rather than later.
