AEW Announces Saturday Night Dynamite For October 23

Another preemption for AEW

All Elite Wrestling is set to return to Saturday nights for one show in October.

The promotion announced they will make their Orlando, Florida debut with a special Saturday Night Dynamite on October 23. Tickets for the event go on sale on Friday, August 27 at 10 am ET.

AEW will be pre-empted on TNT by the NHL game between Boston Bruins and Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday, October 20. The wrestling promotion has previously had to move from Wednesday nights because of the NBA playoffs and AEW have previously held Saturday Night Dynamite specials on August 22, 2020, and June 26, 2021.

The last Saturday Night Dynamite was headlined by an AEW World Championship match between champion Kenny Omega and Jungle Boy. The Best Bout Machine ultimately picked up the win after 17 minutes.

Partly because of all of the preemptions, AEW programming will move to TBS from TNT in 2022.

AEW will go up against IMPACT Wrestling on October 23 as well as the Bound For Glory pay-per-view is set to take place on that day.
