AEW Extends Aubrey Edwards' Contract

The popular referee is sticking around

All Elite Wrestling have opted to extend a popular referee's deal with the promotion.

Appearing on Chris Denker's Into The Danger Zone, Aubrey Edwards revealed AEW extended her contract earlier this year. There is no word on the length of the extension.

"Unless you're in the discussion about the match, you don't fully understand all of the things that are being talked about, right? And ultimately if the wrestlers I work with are happy and my bosses are happy, and you know, I got a contract extension this year so clearly I'm doing something good. Let me just drop that in there [Aubrey laughed]," Edwards said.

Aubrey has been an AEW official since the promotion's inaugural show, Double Or Nothing 2019. She then signed with the company on September 1, 2019, only one day after she became the first female official to referee a world title match on pay-per-view at All Out.

Outside of her officiating duties, Aubrey is the co-host of the AEW Unrestricted Podcast with Tony Schiavone. She also works behind the scenes with AEW Games, primarily on the mobile video game, AEW Elite GM.
